Nevada (again), with rain, or without..

just some point-and-shoot images from "the vault". I remember those moments well.
No rain. The
"Long Branch Saloon" (or what's left of it), in Luning. (Cecil, I thought of you when I clicked this one)...
Rain. Simpson Park Mountains, storm comin' down.
After rain. Railroad Valley, heart of Nevada.
Rain gone. Bluewing flat in the depth of its bone-dry swelter...

Yeah Arcadia, I always wondered about that too. Simpson Park?? Apparently Simpson Park was an old Pony Express station, built in 1860, attacked by Indians and burned to the ground that same year, rebuilt and used by the Overland Stage & Mail Co., then relocated south and west to somewhere near the town of Austin, just off current-day Highway 50...
