Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

The other day while on a walk,
I ventured down an alley in search
of some material to photograph
and came across this 8x10 piece
of paper lying on the ground

i picked it up and turned it over
and there was Jim Morrison
arms held out and with those eyes
as if pleading seemed to say
in response to what was written below

"In the beginning we were creating ourselves,
our music, every night... starting with a few outlines,
maybe a few words for an outline. Sometimes we
worked out in Venice, looking at the surf. We were
together and it was good times for all of us. Acid, sun,
friends, the ocean, and poetry and music."

I found a perfect place to put this picture
on a wooden door in a anonymous alley
whose time was well revealed... a frame
for Jim's photograph and words...

maybe someone else would come across it
and, who knows! who the fuck knows...
maybe they will want to listen to him and
the Doors play some of the finest music of
those times that have become part of the
psyche of the people who grew up listening
feverishly to every note and every word
Jim and the Doors played... and played so well.

we were just talking about Jim Morrison last evening - my 19 year old son was thinking about him and Mick Jagger and Jimi -
He pronounced that Jim was psychedelic and well, we had to agree.
synchronicity - as if we all saw your photo in our minds.

excellent composition mtmynd......i was just given a book of Jim Morrison's poetry......some of it in his own handwriting.......this is a bit spooky given judih's revelation .....what's going on ?.....ha ha
