The visual analogy of ship masts is insightful and intriguing.

Thx, el mingo... something about power lines and the delivery of electrical energy that trips me out. It seems so primitive a delivery system but yet so enormous that we'll live with it for generations to come. The newer business/neighborhoods have their power below ground, but the "old system" is huge and impossible to eradicate. Maybe one day all the power delivery systems will become wireless, eh?

Have a great day today... El Paso is 52 F and sunny at 12:12pm... can't beat it.

Fascinating images---engineering, geometry, the abstract quality of the powerrlines against the sky, the grittiness of reality-----I like these.
