I like this one a lot -- nicely framed, & it looks like much of the waterfronts around here - the reeds, the brush - so typical of riverbanks & lake shores I've haunted...

yeah roy, one of my favorite haunts....the larger area is called Marshy Point......so many raptors there looking for their next meal....but otherwise serene....the kestrels look like little rockets flying over the water

I had a habit of leaving in the dark to get somewhere cool to see the sun rise.....this is the same place where Iron Point is, but a different location....

these are making me antsy to get out there! Weather's actually been nice, but other commitments have kept me from it. Now that I'm wrapping them up, looks like a week of rain on the way. I actually hope so - drought relief.

Yeah Roy, I sure miss it...but stamina not there yet.....My whole life revolved around hiking...picking new places and exploring and revisiting beloved haunts....and the weather was of course always a consideration ....still hopeful

I'm hoping for you too - I know how important these places are to us. A few days after my 1st hip replacement, my daughter drove me thru one of them, & I got so emotional I couldn't speak for a few seconds. I've lost a lot of muscle strength in my legs, & my balance sucks, but I'm not trying for distance or speed records. And just a few weeks ago several hundred acres adjacent my own property was (were?) designated a conservation area!
