Another example of southern foliage for our northern friends, a Magnolia.

Beautiful flora, guys.
We enjoy magnolias here in Southern California, too, SD.
Your photos are marvelous, as usual, and mine is over-exposed, but here is my contribution to the deck parade of beauties.
I claim absolutely no credit at all for this space and its floribunda. My beautiful wife has nurtured every leaf.
First the path leading TO the deck . . . and then the path leading AWAY from the deck.
The line of trees behind the flowers is the twelve-foot-high wall of juniper trees, densely interwoven over the decades . . .

Reminds me of Monet's garden at Giverney.

Zlatko, at first glance that wall looks like a cliff not juniper. Definately a wonderful wall.

My wife keeps wanting to have the trees taken out, SD, but we've finally arrived at a little treaty over the juniper wall-- as you aptly named it.
I understand her point of view:
The trees are dying from the inside out . . .
The branches keep popping out, particularly after a rain ( we had a drought for six years)-- it's only this past winter that the "branch-popping" got bad . . .
But the juniper "wall" provides so much privacy, it would be a pity to see it go down.

In Ware Neck there are only a few businesses. One of them is Brent and Becky"s Bulbs. Martha Stewart works closely with this well known bulb export business. They are world famous for their bulbs especially daffadils.

I wouldn't be suprised. I do know that during her trial her film crew was filming there but I couldn't get any details. I actually asked the crew if I they would grant me a short interview. They declined saying they had a plane to catch. But I wasn't born yesterday. They were driving a mini van with NY plates loaded with all kinds of equipment. I was a victim of the perverbial brush off.

Well she wasn't there. It was her film crew. They were filming footage for a future special of hers. I was going to ask the basic questions, what they were up to mostly. I do a little writing for my local news paper and thought her film crew visiting Ware Neck would have been an interesting story but it just didn't happen.
