Post by Artguy » August 26th, 2005, 10:56 pm

Image
Lets start at the front door....

Image
The living room cut into a mountain...sun pours over the rock from solarium above...

Image
Shrine room solace to sit....just sit

Image
Black eyed susans...golden reflections in the meadow...

Image
Informal dharma circle....that's me with the tummy pouch...just got back from town, otherwise I had stripped myself of everything owned....I ahve nothing and I am no one...first journal entry...

Image
Purtang....here in this mountainside meadow was the cremation of
Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche...from whom I learned to be a warrior...

Image
Along a trail on contemplative hike...

Image
A simple cabin where once lived a great Boddhisattva...now only his cats..

You're posting them from photobucket, Kurt?

Do they have a limited bandwidth? That's my guess as to what's happened to them.

Here's a suggestion. You have your own website... so why don't you make a folder on your host's server called "share" or "post" or whatever you want to call it, and then upload your photos and artwork into that folder. Then you'd have a URL for each image which you'd know could be referenced and would appear, without the limitations of photobucket or other such sites. Just an idea.

I see one of them! And I love it! Looking forward to seeing the rest!

I take it you're back from your haitus? Can you tell us stories, please? I'd love to hear about your trip!

I don't see them. I only see one. *sigh* I looked at the code and tried to access the photobucket URL for a couple of them and it said the URL wasn't available. Can you upload to your website server? That's what we do when we want to post an image. email me or pm if you need more info about that.

I'll check out the creative writing board to read your journal entries! Thanks!

lucky is the one who can access these pictures. they share a retreat with this mind's eye.

by the way, photobucket offers free space but since we see how limited that freedom is, and if someone doesn't have a website, there is also 'flickr.com' for photo storage and sharing.

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche I think Allen Ginsberg followed him at one time.

the stupa with trungpa's ashes? very sweet.
i really dig that stupa.

His ashes are not in the Purtang....they were taken still on the grate upon which he was cremated and mounted at the top of the mountain...as ancient Tibetan charnal ground...The grate remains today....did'nt have my camera with me on that climb....
