More Road Trip Pics
Here are some shots from my recent trip of near epic proportions (I finally ran across a photo scanner)....
Cerro de Guadalupe, New Mexico
Valley of the Gods, Utah
Whitney Pockets, Nevada
San Juan Goosenecks, Utah
Lake Mead National Rec. Area, Nevada
Near Burns, Oregon
I hope you all enjoy these. I'll try to post more later.

Man oh man, do I envy you! What gorgeous landscapes! I haven't been out there since I was a kid. I've got to go out there again!
I've been trying to make a banner from the last one you posted. I was going to put it up last night. I got it cropped and everything to banner size, but something's wrong with my Photoshop and the text is all jaggedy no matter which font I choose. So, until I get it fixed, I have to rotate through the other banners already created.
I do hope to get it fixed soon and would love to feature some of these at the top of the page!
They take my breath away!

Like the one in eastern Oregon.
Have you ever heard of Oak Creek Canyon? It is east of Mountain City, Nevada, about 60 miles north of Elko.....the canyon is in a gorge below the high desert surface, large oak trees and greenery along this stream, below ground as it were.

Thanks doreen & jimbo...
Yeah, jimbo, I drove that road, from Elko to Mountain Home, Idaho.... Highway 51, if I remember correctly. That canyon is a lovely one indeed.... I should have taken more pictures...
"There's nothing out there", people say. Even the locals say that about Nevada.... but the high desert holds its share of surprises....

whitney pockets... looks like a morning shot from my perspective, before 10... before the blinding light of the desert sun fades the scenery. hard to choose but there is something about this that stopped me and could very well do it again!
great shots, mnaz! you have tread where few have been. your photos and writes do inspire one to follow your tracks.
