I really hope you take some extra supplies, like vodka and sunflower seedz.
This be what I need, going to the desert to pray. The last one, is that a scree slope or what? I walked-ran down a scree slope in the Yukon once. You can almost see the waves lapping, a great ancient sea, surely a mystical moment, to witness the majesty of time with mother earth, a real blessing, the topping on humble pie, gone with the four windz, may the caretakers return to their haunts. Be nice to have a hang glider with a prop. Just set sail out over the great empty sea. Vast empty spaces hover in the wind.

Thanx, Arcadia. I'll post a couple more at a time, every so often....
jimbo.... great response. The last pic was up on Posey's Trail, southeastern Utah canyon realm. The Comb Ridge is a long, sawtooth-shaped sandstone ridge, or "reef", as the pioneers called it. This "reef", this giant rock wall, along with many others in the region, caused pioneers no small amount of hardship and difficulty of passage.
Yeah, the thing about the canyon country is its pervasive vertical red rock upheaval; upended strata from what was once a sea floor. There is a sense of seeing deep inside the planet, and being able to touch the epochs....

I've been quite content hanging out here in Gloucester but I have to admit after seeing your photos, I NEED to get out more.
