Can't wait till we get a bit of snow.
When we do I'll build a snow dragon and bid him on his way.

there's a ice and snow sculpture festival in Montreal
every winter . The Chinese team sculpts dragons
and pagodas wich they incorporate lights to ;
Makes the sculptures look like precious stones.
Looked for images on the net but couldn't find any ,Sorry!

In Quebec city a ice hotel is built every winter
check it out :

Ville-Émard ; Further south from
N.D.G. Closer to the St-Lawrence river.

Sober Duck : Cool Sculptures , don't
know how long it took you to make
them but , here in Montreal they
would last about two days ; About
the amount of time it takes the
city to clear the streets with snow
blowers , graders , eighteen wheelers
and pay loaders.

From coastal Northern California (cold but rarely snow land...) I think it's beautiful! I have to go to Nevada (Tahoe) to get snow like this, and that's now always possible, so ...

Love all the sculptures!

These pictures bring a smile and another song for me to hum as I move along on my wanderings of internet land ...

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!...

Let It Snow by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne - 1945.

Ao - That snow beats out what I have here. So do people dig out their cars when they need them or do they take the bus instead????

We dig 'em out , because not long after the storm ends , these no
parking signs are posted by the staff
of the city of Montreal .(the bright orange sign on the left.)

Image

The signs indicate the hours at wich the snow removal crews will clean
the street , this one indicates
beetween the hours of 7:00 a.m.
and 7:00 p.m. If the car is still
parked on the curb , it's towed
away and a 170.00 $ fine is
applicable .
