After living on the Chesapeake Bay all of my life and not traveling much I would love to view your west first hand and to rumage through such wonderful artifacts would be heaven.
Hmmm, I like to give my gravity a bath once and a while.

Most of your life? I am thinking about that "past lives" jam on GO. You been living there for 200 years. I have never seen much of tidewater Virginia but what I have reminds me of the eastern shore of Maryland. There is my Zion.

I hope you get to see the far west Dick. I always felt so fortunate that I got a chance to truck it.

Gravity bath, yeah man, I need one too.

mnaz thanks, for the pictures.

my monitor just went "pink" weird color changes. I suppose it is getting ready to crash and burn. Everything looks like bad Technicolor.

If we ever go to gas rationing again like we did in WW2 I will be sending you my gas coupons. Keep on trucking. It frees my spirit to ride along with you.

I grew up within a mile or so of the worlds largest naval facility and was quite aware of military (navy) life, so I avoided the service with a passion. Now that I'm to old for the military I could kick myself in the ass for not serving. I sure missed out on probably the greatest traveling oppertunity a person could recieve.

Gas rationing in WW2, I remember the seventies. I had just turned sixteen and remembered how unfair it seemed that they would run out of gas just when I began to drive. I remember the fights in the lines as tempers flew, something you don't see much of now a days. We used the odd/even system with liscense plates numbers, Monday even Tuesday odd etc.

Pink eye, Your monitor has pink eye. I turned mine on a few months ago and it went poof as a small mushroom cloud rose from within.

Duck!....
A chance to watch over what's left of the hard-won, historic enterprise of a good man was enough, in itself. Add the light of desert space, and it does approach heavenly....

Truckin'....

I am honored and inspired by your words.... hard to put a price on the freeing of spirit. That means a lot to me. Thank you.

Jimbo.... I'm working my way to the jewel mine. And I love your photo retouch-- proper Death Valley....

Thanks, all!

Well ya know it's all in how ya look at things. I see the folks in my cancer center as jewels. Unfortunately, I can't take photos of them, privacy and all, but also someone might only see desolation in your desert ramblings, yet you see majesty.
