The Duck and Bob Matthews, (a local news personality) came to Ware Neck to film a story I was covering.

My fifteen minutes of fame are starting to accumulate.

Those smilin guys is me and he posing for a friendly photo
thus the smiles. And of course it was a friendly interview.
As for the guy and his dogs, money is the root of all dismisals.

The thought crossed my mind that you might be talking about that photo so I added the It was a friendly interview line hoping to cover the festive appearence. The initial shock of the event had past and spirits were high in view of being interviewed for the local news. Carnage yes but sadness, has past.

Sheep Mystery Solved
By
Richard Moylan Jr.
It saddens me to report that the sheep mystery in Ware Neck was solved Monday afternoon when two dogs were destroyed while attacking one of the two surviving sheep at Hockley farm. Reliable sources stated that the dogs came onto the property, wandered around a bit then ended up in the sheep’s stall. At that time the dogs would not yield their attack so they were put down as humanely as possible in order to save the sheep.
The owners of the dogs were surprised to here that it was their dogs that were responsible for the attacks and quite saddened that their dogs could commit such an act.
Everyone assumed the attacking dogs would be quite large and vicious animals so when it was discovered that some ones average family pets were responsible it floored everyone.
It now appears that the Hockley Farm attack and the Oak Hall attack were not related with the exception that the sheep came from the same flock.
Being a dog owner as most of us are, this sad turn of events has been a wake up call for me bringing to my attention how important the responsibility of dog ownership is and how hard and frustrating that ownership can become.
