never got to see the spring in the desert
don't mind the picture after too much rain, mercy,
you been in the northwest marine climate too long
is the high desert still there?
i don't believe it, anymore, been too long, one more time i gotta see it

yeh jimbo.... spring of '05.... the desert Southwest was inundated by rain, just as I arrived to escape such murk...

It rained heavily for 3 straight days when I visited Cecil & Soozen's place. They were thrilled at the murk... told me to "not begrudge them the rain"... ah yes... seems like only yesterday...

I spent nearly all of '05 and 2 months of '06 in the desert... I thought I'd had my fill, but I'm ready to go back...

Iam having flashbacks of my down and out years,
mercy could I drive those roads
down thru New mexico into ElPaso and out into the west Texas open spaces, straight thru to Corpus Christi and the lovely flowering coastal plain.
