Not a carver.

Post by Sober Duck » September 24th, 2008, 7:05 pm

I'm not a carver or sculpter but about fifteen years ago when involved with the Cub Scouts I had the oppertunity to help my scouts with their Pinewood Derby. I voluntered to cut out the shapes the boys wanted for their cars with a jig saw. I managed to cut eighteen cars without mishap but I destroyed one. So I replaced his car with my piece of pinewood. So the only wood I had to use for my car was a piece of Mahogony I had laying around. This is what I came up with.

Reminds me of the balsa wood cars I made in middle school shop class. Though I'm sure yours can kick more butt.
