Of Wood, Antler, Stone and Bone

When not spending my spare time, camping, fishing, or writing, I'm usually working on something in my shop.

This is a 15" pipe I made a few years back. The bowl is made from a pipe stone I traded for from West Virginia, stem is oak and mouthpiece is hawk bone. The pipe bag I made from doeskin -

Walking stick made from American Hornbeam with antler head -

A stream smoothed yellow jasper pebble has been set into the antler head and the spacer between stick and antler is rosewood -

These are making me want to get out there and rough it, build a little cabin, make a warm fire and cook up wild onions, tomato, potato. All that growing.
