Art for Jim - Our Farewell Book - Date of death - 2/4/11

Post by Doreen Peri » January 9th, 2011, 8:26 pm

My friend and co-worker, Jim, has been battling cancer for over a year. He is currently hospitalized (has been in and out of the hospital several times this past year). He's in a lot of pain.

Could you please post art and photography to this thread for Jim?

High resolution for printing would be the best.

I will print them out on my large poster-sized paper (if the resolution is large enough) and bring them to his room and hang them on the wall for him.

Please post HAPPY, uplifting, beautiful artwork & photography, nothing dark or sad, OK?

Something to uplift his spirits.

Feel free to write your get well notes or poetry on the artwork or photography.

Thank you!

(and thanks to James aka neologistic, for this idea).

Jim, this fire pit emerged out of mu holidays.
We had stacked brush and my step-son had one.
Once I had the idea, it just happenned. I had taken down the
backyard pool and suddenly I had this inspiration. It was fun
digging into the earth and shaping it into a circle with walls,
like playing in the dirt. I had the tiles from around the pool
and these went around for looks plus to keep the sides from
eroding when it rains. I left a pathway opening to get closer
to the fire and, Viola! There was an Omega! I started feeling better,
like I had connected with an angel or maybe God. He is real.
a fellow Jim on the journey. Bless you with a seed of solid faith
in a Higher Mind Presense. Somebody knows something.
This Day is real.
Deep Love is real.
reduce your stress with pain management.
also with rest, nutrition, and enjoyable stimulation.
this will release the toxins that impair you
and allow your generative energy to heal you.
heal in spirit. let your body tell you what you need.

omega fire for the new year!

tomorrow i go to the VA hospital in St Pete, Bay Pines
I expect to be there for 4 weeks getting in-patient treatment
for the ongoing trauma from PTSD. I am so glad for this treasure.
Studioeight. Every day we can give back. Every day we can give thanks.

Dearest Jim,

My kind of heart is praying for your beautiful one.

little mischievous darling!

We get through our winters with the help of the warmness
of friends and though the blankets of snow can freeze us so,
spring will come again and we will rise like garden flowers,
grow healthy and bloom in multiple colors, cherishing the sun!
You, too, can make it through. Be positive and strong.
Know you are loved.

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

Cecil... wonderful! Thank you! I'm on my way to see him before the snow hits....

Keep them coming! I haven't printed anything yet. I want to have a nice collection first. Keep praying or however you handle sending positive energy, please....

I can't tell you how pleased I am to see such beautiful responses sent to someone you don't even know .... It is the beauty of being human and caring about your fellow beings that brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Thank you all so much! More please????

winter is a time to reflect, take the cold, the dark, put a warm spin on it.....

and if our mind stays strong and we can feel the warmth of friends, before you know it it's spring

the cat wants the cardinal, and the cardinal needs the cat, it's simple
codependency

we tend to see the bad stuff, when times are tough, but it's important to believe this is temporary

I've had two kids survive leukemia Jim, so I know first hand what's possible

they are both healthy and strong in more ways than anyone can imagine

my thoughts are with ya, buddy..................peace, ( calm ).....Steve

thank you, Steve! Beautiful! I didn't know about your kids. That's wonderful news! He will appreciate this very much!

I'm planning on printing all of these and bringing them to him this weekend so if anybody has any more photos, artwork, greetings, and/or poetry, please keep them coming!

Human beings are so wonderful! I told him last time I saw him I'm bringing him some poetry and art gifts from friends who don't even know him but who are sending their blessings and poetry his way. Tears came to his eyes.

I believe in the power of positive energy united .... Thank you all for these gifts and for your continued healing energy!
