Gardening day

Soon it will be gardening day, the way
the sunlight will play along the garden bed
reflecting like a halo atop my head, and
I will dig with spade and hands, planting
annuals, fingernails filled with dirt, immersed
in mulch and oh how much I love the scent
of it! Possibly this weekend I will
buy the multi-colored eye treats,
complete my bed preparation,
feel the warmth of sun upon my face
and make a new creation
in the space I have prepared!

I saw a praying mantis on the glass door,
sure his time has come to watch me dig
and find a home for vinca and petunias,
mutli-colored hues to soothe the winter
blues away, and with the robins I will sing,
my heart enveloped in the springing forth
of another globe rotation, the sensation of
being one with the earth, giving birth to
a vibrant spring! Ahhhh, the rhapsody of
gardening! I cannot wait to view the lush
display on gardening day, to rush inside
when thunder hits, await the storm and
after-mist, a kiss of life so welcomed
and longed for and adored!

Ohhh that's pretty! Thanks very much! :)

........

If I could paint the earth, I'd paint it blue
and yellow, orange, and green, and every hue
the Universe thought of when It created
each miracle we witness when we've stated
words which form the poetry of tongues
like hues upon a canvas, ever young!

That's pretty, too! Looks like a flower! But it looks like something else also. heh

........

Today I bought half my annuals,
ten bags of mulch and some grass seed,
as much as I could fit in the car.
For effort, I gave myself a gold star.

Time to edge the flower beds, plead
with the earth to be my friend and move
for me with each pitchfork full, weed
some more and before you know it,
I'll be ready to plant.

I'd take a photo of the this year's blooms
but I don't know where my camera is
and so I can't!

I hope I find it soon!

:D

must be nice to live in a normal place
between the frigid north
and the stupiferous subtropics
there's more flower power in virginia than in floriduh
but hey,
i'll take my chances
just me an my cats now
and my friends
i ain't got no lover
not since long ago
the fall it was
and so
helping her go
into the spring
still crying like a real man
from time to time
but i'll get some heartfelt vibes
sometime on down the line and
oh, i got a leak from the storm
damn thought i had patched it
it is a sign
thatched hut
flat roof
i don't care
someday
it won't be mine
got no garden
got no wine
i don't care
beyond the pale
everything is fine
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om

"Blooming Penny Haiku"
For Doreen:

Beautiful flowers,
Ready for more April showers,
May they bloom so wonderfully in May--
What a colorful April this is,
For folks in the gardening biz...
May we all enjoy this Spring,
Let sweet hosannas ring...

I call it my zen garden. Ha that. :)

it was looking better last May I all ready had my veggies in

well it ain't too late yet

hope you been getting your hands dirty too.
and not have a feeling of Dismay this may

I imagine you there among the
Shticks And Stones :

HOw does that allen sherman song go?
God bless you, Jerry Mendelbaum
Let nothing you dismay
This May you had a rotten month
So what is there to say
Let's hope next May is better
And good things will come your way
And you won't have a feeling of dismay
Next May

squirrel sees acorns and wind in the clouds
i see clouds dimming the sun at last
the sun sees everything-at
.....last,the
.......time,time
.........timed,shines ,,, the fool finds a tarot deck, and after hearing tales of those who usurped great spiritual wisdom, believed themselves the hierophant one day and saw a secret language in the clouds, a dragon through the leaves chasing a storm cloud, the dragon's goin "what th hell, storm clouds? wait, why's everyone lookin at me?" the fool thought "i must be the dragon doing the right thing," the storm clouds goin "ooh that dragon hungry, let's get outta here! see ya later, flowers!", spring came around not like usual and someone got eaten by their tribe for it in a certain southerly country to the very far south of a child playing soccer seeing tennis in the clouds. after artificial intelligence was perfected, they gave individual sentience to each process of certain experimental software and made groups of them believe themselves to be truly in reality with their perception in the future and suns and other large iterated parameters became all tied in to something one very small group of them in part believed the program turning on and enabling their functionality to be some sort of physical begin all end all to understanding all of reality many of them called "the big bang." groups had variance in parameters as reaching as the number of possibilities within the program where they were spread about, and the test was to do nothing else and let the program create itself as future scientists observed technological advance possibilities in many multitudes of theoretical quantum potentials using calibrated mass multiversal simulation. the group of five scientists quickly realized what they saw as a personal tool they could use for themselves, so they had already recreated a makeshift homelab version and done all testing there first, hidden in one partner's network of factories. all that is known is a test was run one day when one of them had to call in sick and a suspicious test was run in the corporate lab that resulted in concluding the test inefficient to research in that manner. personality simulations had for a long time been used, but quantum computing had still not been perfected (which even in minute amounts of calibration appeared to have much greater terms of invariance). a larger machine enabling a vaster and more efficient series of similar and other programs was in the process of being built, so it is thought that the group of scientists and possibly other partners have been delaying the construction of the larger program while seeming to happenstance across wise decisions and inventions. they were said to have all died in a plane crash, but the wreckage was never found, nor the speculated makeshift alternate prototype. years later, the scientists saw their very breath move all the clouds while the sun saw the earth slowly increasing speed to an end to the human species except for that one guy the aliens really did take and keep, he's doing fine by the way he likes the way his gingerbread flowers are turning out, but is worried it will rain fish oil again too soon and get them strange tasting. i'm not driving in the direction of the sun now and am confused by the clouds, next may is great! its may 3014 we gotta worry about, start the development of protective measures now said the guy on the street who demanded i tell someone about the scientists. he also sold me a church flyer, i'm not sure why. this may is great! its like taking may 31 and swapping it with may 1 and going at the first of the month this time "nothing can ruin may now." and still knowing that june 1, hey june, don't be too bad, be a glad month, bring lots of cheddar. i like this video
