MY SPRING-A-LING
by Steve Plonk
Some have a quiet spring-a-ling,
Others reap the whirlwinds,
Nonsense from the weather,
One side of the street is devastated,
While other folks across the tracks
Just have a nice little May shower...
Some poor twisted boweries
Sprout anew with seedlings grow,
Soon new root cellars will again
Be dug so folks may be safe
Like the proverbial "bug in a rug"
We keep that prayerful attitude
'Cause another twister might
Come down & get your nester...
***
So think green,
Come alive & make the scene
But know full well,
That the bell might knell
It may knell for you,
So go about carefully what you do...
Knock on wood,
Pick up litter & sticks,
Great celebrations to be alive & slick
Down the escape hatch & make it quick...
***
My spring-a-ling, my spring-a-ling,
Talkin' about my spring-a-ling--Think greeeeennnnn!
Make the scene, party with the Dean!
