This is a photo my sister, Diane, took in her garden in Hawaii. It's always spring or summer in Hawaii! ;)

One day I'll move to paradise!
Wouldn't that be nice?
I'll bring along a lover
and a cooler with some ice.
We'll drink Hawaiian cocktails
on a deck nearby the sea!
I sure hope he'll be ready soon
to come along with me.
Don't you hate this silly poem,
this lousy poetry?
I'm rhyming just like Dr. Suess.
Good God. Oh whoa is me!

i wake up
the world
calls me
out
tropical rainbow
in my face
morning trace
of love
like sunshine
flowing thru
all of us
flowers in the heart
a very good start...

My rainbow isn’t tropical, but waves
me forward like the flags of Provincetown
until the very continent is faced
with melted prisms where earth’s salts dissolve—
and suddenly I need the promise: Lord,
don’t drown me please— don’t drown our heartbeats please.
And – heard or not, unanswered or addressed –
I’m home and safe upon the border, blessed.
And then I stop and count the rainbows: breeze
to yoke my shoulders— budding trees are poured
like fountainhead cetacean breaths to salve
me when I’ve no more steps to take. And graced
with rainbows such as these, I doubt I’ll drown
and rather trust the thought of love that saves.

Love when you're around.
Sounded like my great say
is love when you're around.

Like poppies!

Like planted seeds.

Love when you're here by my turtle,
by my red heart old dinosaur--red heart.
Yellow soul
and we're on our pillows
making the soft
making it great orange
with a twirling
burling center circle
of our self
of you
with orange peeled lovers
on the gentle.

Like poppies!
and song, soul, laughter

here with me
like planted seeds.

And love making it funny
when you're around.
Love making, when you're
around.

seasons drove her to places where it was more precise
open and free
she went over the tops
of all the gifts she had received
each felt deeply in the petals of her soul
colors dripped like auras around life
delicate life sprouts from her eyes
no lies-happiness cries to the skies
