Es kommt, mein Frühling, wie ein Frachtzug,
schnell vorbei und schwer mit seiner Last.
Bevor es kommt, kann ich die große Macht
empfinden. Was für Lebensglück du hast!
Allerdings beneide ich dich nicht.
Stark bist du, auch inkonsequent
und antiquiert wie ein gereimtes Gedicht,
wie leise Hallelujas unter Lent.
Und kommst du noch, mein Frühjahrschatz?
Ich werde schon getröstet. Kennst du mich?
Ich kenn dich nur als Gegensatz.
Na, und? Ich warte immernoch auf dich.
Es kommt— du kommst— zu mir, bei mir, von mir.
Also, Freund, ich bedanke mich bei dir.
