yesterday on Pachamama´s day & one of the most freezing days of this winter, it was the marcha & acto supporting Del Frade (I could join the acto in Plaza San Martín). Moving and very clear Del Frade´s speech (you always learn something more about Santa Fe´s history listen to him!), I also talked to people in the marcha but why there weren´t protests against this electoral law before isn´t clear at all for me... nevertheless, maybe it wasn´the most important thing... :)

Jujuy was present yesterday in Rosario´s acto... good news today, sad that the change took four lives in the process... :(

months of OTAN bombing a country and people fighting each other in Trípoli now ... from here, the OTAN´s ways seems more dangerous from Libia´s people than Khadafi itself ... sad....

Sad article on the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo,

Interesting article on Libya
I liked the last line
"There is no end of history"

History is a bitch with an ice pick, there is no end to it.

*a long time ago qat (revolution rabbit) wrote that language is a bitch with an ice pick. I liked that line a lot, history is a bitch too.

Speaking of history, I saw an interesting documentary,
"Constantine's Sword: The Church and the Jews: A History" _________________________________________________

I thought you might find this interesting:
Argentina's Turnaround Tango

ARGENTINA may seem like one of the last countries on earth to offer lessons for dealing with economic malaise. Once the eighth-largest economy in the world, it steadily slid through the 20th century, thanks to decades of repressive dictatorships and inconsistent market experiments. This ended ignominiously in 2001, when it defaulted on $100 billion in sovereign debt, plunging over half its 35 million people into poverty.

That, at least, is the Argentina people know. Since then, it has performed an economic U-turn — an achievement largely unnoticed outside Latin America, but one that President Obama and Congress should look to for inspiration.

I knew about that column gracias to "Crónica tv" headlines (our most bizarre-yellowish tv news network) while waiting yesterday morning at the doctor´s waiting room to do my annual tests... the tv headlines said something like "Obama should learn from Argentina"...well, it made me laugh more than smile I have to say... Never trust completely to the newspapers and the tv, amigo! Love the bandoneonista´s image, gracias!!!! :D

it would be good that the actual modelo sojero cracks into more descentralizados, participativos, organic and non transgenic agricultural & comercialization proyects with a governmet politic support... I guess we´had enough junk-food, glifosato dosis and corporative supermarkets until the moment...

Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo were homenajeadas in France, so amazing and hard work they had been doing all these years, bravo for them ...! :) And yeah, I specially admire Estela Carlotto for her rare mix of clarity, kindness and strenght... and of course I can´t hate Hebe de Bonafini (Madres de Plaza de Mayo) despite her confrontational and at the same time devotional thrillingness...

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 03-04.html

& Sergio Shoklender talking in the Congress?! convocado by the opposition and Carlos Menem absuelto (at least at the moment) by the Justice in the the causa of tráfico de armas seems too much for one week ...

and...why if I don´t want to read or re-read the Roman Senate´s hidden chronicles, french fanzines, the greek-tragedies and a collection of fairy tales ... eh??  :? Interesting today´s Verbitsky article:

the CNN internacional local interlocutoras...http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 10-01.html ... good to know that nowadays there are multiple ways to know what´s happening in the world...!

I hope Bolivia´s people and the government can deliberate and consensuar a way without violence (maybe via referendum):

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elmun ... 10-01.html

... dificult choices that left open a lot of questions (not only for Bolivia...): what is progress? how respetar the minority´s derechos? are they really minority´s derechos? are there international organizations fueling the conflict? can Bolivia really deal with its new constitution in a today´s world? is there a way to build a ruta that don´t cross the national reserva? how much damage can cause the building of the route?. I guess it might be painful to Evo for moments to talk about the Pachamama and beign a state´s president in this planet at the same time...

There´s a Pablo Stefanoni´s book that maybe I´ll read: "Qué hacer con los indios..."

the TLC with Colombia & Panamá were finally signed today (they were approved in USA Congress last October the 12th ... ), "persevera y triunfarás" seems to say Obama from somewhere .. so bye, bye (at least now) to the possibility that the USA´s bases & enclaves in those countries can be deconstructed ...

Evo´s tango ... I hope he keep having enough cintura for Bolivia´s wellness ...! :)
