Arcadia wrote:"It seems it´s no easy to not get hooked in the model of "violent reactioning with indignation against violence" sometimes ..."
Violence is an action that begets violence as if violence survives for violence sake. The root cause of violence is, curiously, fear which is a maidservant of that very violence which we allow ourselves to be affected by. But isn't violence not only a hu'man behavior but that which Nature displays daily through the activities of change (think floods, earthquakes, hurricanes/cyclones, wild fires, drought, disease ... the list is long and the actions have been with all of Nature throughout the Universe on not only a daily occurrence but even constantly, consistently showing change which is easily equated with violent behavior..? As much as hu'manity dislikes and even fears violence, we have lived with it as participants in the "Play of Life" that all is and will forever be.... non-violence being the escape from the wheel of life that the wise of spoken of throughout our history.

Por favor, amiga mia... may I help you with this difficult language of English in this paragraph? Gracias!
Arcadia wrote:Today accidentally? I found myself watching in Canal Encuentro a documentary- entrevista to Milan Kundera by an Spanish journalist (it was filmed in black & white so it maybe be from the seventies ). First time I listened to Kundera talk, it catched my attention the visible emotion in his eyes at some moments, the french words and some things he said about the surrealism in Prague, the lyricism of Stalinism and the fascination that totalitarisms produce... Here´s the link but I doubt it works enough to see the documentary:
"...by an Spanish..." - mas mejor : " by a Spanish".. use "an" when the next word begins with vowel.

"...it catched my attention..." - should be "it caught my attention" which is the past tense of the verb "catch".

"... that totalitarisms produce..." mejor: "that totalitarianism produces..."

I'm sure my own Spanish is clumsy when I attempt to write to you, even with "Google Translate"... and I would appreciate any lesson you'd like to offer. :)

I was unable to see any video, even though I would like to. :(

Cecil: good observations, gracias!!!!!!! :D :You know, it´s funny, in theory, I already knew -at least- all you pointed but when writting here my focus is not in grammar so I´m aware it´s quite possible that the potential reader must drink several "mistakes" in each paragraph ... maybe I´m just enjoying being clumsy without feeling guilty somewhere ... To learn how to write English correctly is not what moves me here, but to do so it can be a welcomed colateral learning, why not?. So, and as forma y fondo interbeing, feel free to do all the observations and corrections you want to do & ask for the same if you need them in Spanish!

Yeah, dislikes & fears can put more energy in what we try to avoid. And if you add to that culture, History & language you can have a beautiful mess at times ... :)

I searched to Kundera´s entrevista via YouTube but it´s not there, lástima! I´ll post a link if I find it (nevertheless if there is not an English subtitulado avalaible the questions are in Spanish and the answers in French & Spanish...)

just wondering if in the Vaca Muerta-Chevron-YPF deal context "2048" and "a perpetuidad" have to be considered equivalents ...

Here´s Solana´s film complete (with an included YPF publicity that you can click to omit in the local visualization)

Last thursday I read a Counterpunch article about "The fuel fossil paradigm" and mailed the autor a link to Solanas film & some of my wonderings about the fracking thing & if we really need to deal with Chevron and all the plus that involves here ... I recived in reply a mail with interesting links that looks worth reading (I read at the moment only the first one that answered some of my questions and left place to others). I´ll post the article and the links in a different thread in open discussions too, I told him that I will share the links in this site.

... still wondering about Martín Pescador, mingo...?

all busy & quiet down here: more than a kilo of exams to correct, coaching the 6th grade´s students to coach themselves to dance axe music for the end of the year feast (they are great dancing, -I´m not - but they need someone to guide their energy bursts to the common good ... :P ), riding bicycle only on sundays -when some streets are free of the everyday car-crescent craziness fever- , still sad & surprised for my two years ago kajak teacher (a lancha hitted his kajak three weeks ago broking it & also also doing severe damage to his legs .... -it was almost night and the lancha occupators didn´t stopped to help him, he saved his life because he remained conscious and kept standing in his half-boat & thanks to the help of some guys from the islands -... and yeah he had some problems knowing or caring about when the night was about to cover the river, I´ve stopped following his group because of that, nevertheless his accident left me with a strange feeling :( - ...), also eating falafel, trufas & pignolatas in the Colectividades feast, smelling the air plenty of the tilo´s music, wanting vacations .... more or less the usual for this time of the year! :)

Éo Tchan music? :D

wow - you busy busy - sorry to hear about your kayak teacher - hope things look up there - and thx to the guys who helped him out - didn't get much time in the kayaks this year because of the way things worked out - was the reason I bought a bike so I could just go - I keep my writings to you short because I don't know how this all comes out in translation - so if my replies sound short & choppy in Spanish that's why - what's trufas & pignolatas? I could use a vacation too - for the rest of my life actually 8)
thx for the music too

mingo!: so you are in the stage of vacations for the rest of your life? good!... 8) , I guess it can be a sort of challenge sometimes, tough... , schoolwork instead make you so aware of cycles & automatisms that at a point it makes you laugh ...

traffic in Rosario in the last years was developing into complete craziness (both aquatic & terrestrial, no idea what happens in the sky but sometimes it looks too busy too...). And, yeah, it seems suddenly circulation became a problem...

write in English without problems, mingo, at this point is something like my adoptive language ...

Some recipes for you! (chocolate truffles & pignolatas):

thx for the recipies, Veronica! they sound delicious - gonna try them - traffic here too - everything all built up - i left this place when i turned eighteen and stayed away near thirity five year - came back and all was changed - no more farmers - all them family farms gone & the fields left to go back to forest or sold for development - houses all over the place - some things so changed it's hard for me to remember what it all looked like when i was a kid - this place began as a fur-trading post so long ago the Indians were still in undisputed charge around here - thing i think about when i'm out bike riding is somebody texting and their car drifting just far enough over to crisp me like a bug - everybody going so fast too as if they will somehow get left behind - I googled Rosario some time ago and saw it from satellite - looked up some pics too at street level - i remember this one shot where i saw houses looked like all on top of one another - whew! 8)

my ancestors go musical, filmy &/or filmsy to talk to me
(the southern ones have a particular sense of humor)
they can easily make skulls talk
& left you mesmerized & wanting to whistle
among dusty hills and a black & white sea
i loved this - the whole piece sings - if i could write everything like this i probably could make some money 8) Thx Veronica!
