Thx, Veronica, for your comments on the poem yesterday - I can't even imagine how it translated out in Spanish - 8)

Mingo: it sounded like just baked beautiful poetry in my mind even in a more or less Spanish translation ... :) .

still sad for Constantine´s death ... my favourite site poets dying one by one, damn ... it´s an epidemy or what?? :? :( ( - my most egoist/resistant side can show so easily as a first reaction to death-). No rest of my own for poetry at the moment, maybe to try to do a frankestein-like Spanish traslation/transcription of your poem to Spanish is not at all a bad idea for doing some exercise and keep the chilling out, gracias amigo!

yes to the sadness, Veronica - i liked Dino, his writing & attitude - i'd lay it less at an epidemic's door than to the fact that many of us are of a certain age around here and shit just naturally happens - i hate death - it makes me so damn angry - sounds stupid in words, don't it? ... and we could all do with something to keep the chill far from us - 8)

yeah, unfortunately (or not) "natural" had left us since language and we have to deal with other issues concerning with death ...

Dino´s generous style allowed me to think during the last weeks what if we choose (let call it inner known destiny, uncounscious side, higher conscious, other plane reality or whatever we could call it) to die at some moment (despite or not the surface facts) ... why would (the others & we ourselves) react different than when we or a dear one chooses to start a french course, travel to some place, start walking some miles a day or whatever else...? It might be absolutely our bussiness or not at all our businness so what else can we do?... :?: To think that way, maybe could allow us to be more supportive with the one it´s about to leave (oneself or other one...) but I guess it could no take away at all the farewell´s sadness & dramatism ...

Those are good words, Veronica, got me thinking too where you mentioned the drama of it - I think it's because of the enormity of the event - seems to be ubiquitous across all cultures around the globe - some ceremony whether it be solemn or ecstatic or both - in all cases it's certainly more important for the living than for the dead - to gather, to mark, then to move on - it's all that is necessary.

yeah, you put well in words the itinerario, amigo!!! :)

Talking about dead ones & movement, it seems it´s all buitres & fútbol around here (at least until tomorrow... )

Some links about the Mundial-side I liked:

a Galeano´s book we have been reading with my students before the Winter vacations (in fact some parts of them, with enthusiastic & polemic results):

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mCo ... edit?pli=1

"El otro Mundial" by La Poderosa (it made me smile but why not...?)

http://argentina.indymedia.org/news/2014/07/862670.php

despite Maradona it´s not at all "saint of my devotion" & I´m not a fútbol fan I liked this song I discovered yesterday (oddly): far away more confortable for listening to than the ones chosen for this Mundial ...

spasiva!

a link para "el día después" ... : I wonder what the always in process "national-we" will mean ...

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elpai ... 07-12.html

& damn old buildings...!, the plumber already did his job while I was wandering in the computer (we are already old friends: he thanked to me for the "Zen garden" page on YouTube -he told me he listens to it while he plays chin-chon on line- and I thanked him for kiosk.net, no idea about it!).

I searched for Judih´s blog and ended reading some of her links and links to links:

http://shilohmusings.blogspot.com.ar/20 ... rning.html

http://israel-thrives.blogspot.com.ar/

If I were there (as Palestinian or Israeli citizen) it´s quite probably I´ll be hoping both for the rockets cease to hit miracously or/and they hit in the proper target .... sad... :?
Reading one of the blogs (Israel thrives) two thing surprised me somehow: the religious enphasis on the background/ key of the knot of the conflict and the anticípate disgust (and the ammount of words put in it) in how the "leftists of the world" would see the israelíes and what they would think about the conflict. In Esther´s one the "we are on our own" sounded dramatic ...

I thank them for writing & I wish them peace -plain/pragmatic peace or a most misterious one- (I forgot my blogger contraseña so for know they will not know about it ... )

I checked out the video - we sing to celebrate - ha! - making coffee this morning - got all the windows open, thought I heard rain & went to the window to look but it was just the wind in the leaves fooling me to think it was rain - I laughed at myself & the wind & the leaves for making play first thing in the morning - I'm still smiling about it -

I would rather have plumbing problems than incoming rocket problems - 8)

I would rather have plumbing problems than incoming rocket problems -

yeah, mingo! , but sometimes it´s funny to observe ourselves going mad for some minutes because of some sort of minor reason ...

good that you saw the video! : the real musical hit here during the Mundial nevertheless was a cover of an old Creedence theme changing the lyrics in order to fustigate the Brazilians ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IOGFENyGJM

Finally, the Mundial is over until Russia in four years. Germans shouted the final victory but here there are also festejos for the vicecampeonato (at some point -fortunately- the national-craziness-fervor will be moderate... :) ).

Long live diversity, it seems we -as humans- still have to learn how to live with it without the aniquilation option (the Israeli-Palestinian war gives and asks us for the opportunity to keep considering it, but for sure we have multiple opportunities in ourselves and at the turn of the corner ...)

sometimes it´s funny to observe ourselves going mad for some minutes because of some sort of minor reason
- ain't it the truth too!

you are the LINK QUEEN ! ha! 8) I hit on some of these while drinking the last coffee of the day yesterday evening - the world just keeps spinning round don't it? I saw that pic of Putin & Kirchner standing side by side - always thought she was cute - all top nice with it going on as you'd have to be being a leader of any country in the world today - ain't seen a photo of her lately - by lately I mean in a year or so - in this recent photo I can see where time and the office been taking their toll on her - Obama same way - his face is drawn and hair grey - noticed it alot this year - I wouldn't have the job - how's Kirchner doing for the people of your country? What marks would you give her?

I go mad several times a day on a normal day for some minutes because of some sort of minor reason - way of life in these United States - wouldn't it be nice to just kick back and share some listening to R L Burnside with some friends? Or any kind of music? Good food - good friends - good times - I'll leave you with that thought - gonna grab my bicycle and ride into town - without preaching it I'd think everybody in the whole world should ride a bike - the whole place would just be a hell of a lot calmer & more relaxed - it's difficult to think of going to war at the drop of a hat when you're riding a bike - you're having too much fun to think about spoiling it or wanting to go shoot each other for any reason -

that it isn't that way justs makes me sad for our whole species -

Enjoy your day, Veronica - 8)

Mingo: Cristina Kirchner had plastic surgeries, tintura & botox, no idea if Obama did that too... I´m kind in between among what her government did & the opposition, I´m a secure candidate to be spit out the mouth of the two sides ... it´s long to tell!

(no idea who´s R L Burnside, I´ll google it later...)

& count me as a suscriber to your bike-peace-theory, mingo!! :D (I´ll have to wait until next no-raining-sunday tough, too much traffic for me the other week days in the city ...!). My plan B for a peaceful day is to walk to the river, lay in the sun & read some book!

What? Kirchner plastic? tintura & botoxed too? another fantasy bites the dust hard! O hell, amiga - just what I deserve too - the world is just too cruel sometimes !

your Plan B to the river to read your book sounds pleasant but I feel naked without my bike
- it's like to me the way the pony was to the Indians of the American prairies & plains - I go everywhere on it - to the store - to visit friends - to watch the river - go to the clinic - or just ride for the joy of it - though I admit traffic is a challange on the road or in town -

it's like this - sometimes I can't remember anyone's name from one day to the next but I always know where my bike is - 8)
