links about his speech & obviously, various commentaries about it. See if you are interested (I am maybe because his visit produced some debate here about "the speech/expression freedom", plus I read a long time ago "La ciudad y los perros" and "La señorita de Tacna" and now I simply can´t understand his militante neoliberal fervor ... mix of diversity & complexities of humans beings as years runs by & oportunist corporations at work , maybe... )

well, old Sabato died during the book fair´s period before officially hitting the century... I read some of his books during the last High School´s years but I declare myself unable to re-read them now... I found interesting, though, this Luis Gusman´s article:

"La resolución será televisada"...

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/ultim ... 06-01.html

It has been a long deliberation and debate here if it´s legal, ethic, etc... to take body muestras in order to determine (via ADN) if the adoptive son & daughter of Ernestina Herrera de Noble were or not kids approppiated during the last dictatorship (the old kids, now grown people in their thirties don´t want to know about it and give muestras to the ADN estudios...). If someone commited a crime is legal to take body muestras, but they didn´t commited the crime ...! The problem is that their negative is against the right of the surviving familiars to know about their relatives and it didn´t help the social process in relation of this theme that has been developing here specially during the last years... There is also a political side because their mother is the owner of the most powerful multimedios in the country, the one in openly opposition to the actual government... it sounds complicated, really. No idea what is the best desición here, the only thing is clear (to me) is the painful & complex trama the last dictatorship left ...

life is weird, really... parricide again..?? ... it seems Sergio Schoklender stole money from the Asociación Madres de Plaza de Mayo during a long time, and nobody (including the government) knew about it until now... sad-inc...

welcome (again & again!) to humanity!: interesting interview to Estela Carlotto:

No tenemos que acusar injustamente pero tampoco endiosar, porque todos somos seres humanos. La exageración en cualquier sentido no es buena. Somos nada más que mujeres en lucha.

So hard for me to drag my attention away from the doings of the most powerful nation on earth  :? and pay attention to what else is happening in the Americas.

Watched a bit about Guatemala which gave me hope. Apparently the courts there have recognized the rights of nature. Here we give person hood to corporations and in Guatemala natural systems such as rivers have person hood.

Don't weep for us Guatemala. :? :(

Thanks for the articles

The Herrera de Noble old-kids said yes to the Justice resolution to compare their ADN without restrictions in order to, in their own words, not cause pain to their adoptive mother... it sounds somehow good for all, I´m happy for that! :)

Our president saying that Great Britain keep being "una burda potencia en decadencia" (in the middle of to negotiate or not negotiate via Cameron in relation with Malvinas)... I agree with her, but ... hey!, she´s the president...!

They are going to meet with Obama. I hope that will be helpful.

In the meantime the beavers are munching their way north.

really? I still didn´t pass the Chubut line, I can´t personally testify about it! ...so the canadian beavers (castores?) in Patagonia keep building & building and there are no predators at all? it sounds very human... I didn´t knew about it but I knew about the nichos & territory problem among the ciervo colorado (foreign especie) and the huemul (auctoctonous) in those lands. And yeah, those local army & forties great ideas, damn...

oops...!the upside link was Krugman, the Economy Nobel Prize  ... the FMI people talking (Camdessus) is in this one:

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/econo ... 06-24.html

“Cometimos muchas tonterías y muchos errores con la Argentina a lo largo de los ’90”, afirmó el ex gerente del FMI entre 1987 y 2000.De todas maneras, aclaró sobre la década del ’90: “La iniciativa no era del FMI, sino del gobierno”... sad but I guess it´s true...

at moments the greeks look each day more like argentinians at the millenium border-except for the euro-zone - and we... well, who knows... :?

http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/elmun ... 06-24.html

the Mossad behind Boggie-Schoklender according La Nación´s article...?? wait...!!!

http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1383785-luis ... -el-mossad

Vicente Zito Lema, ex decano of the Universidad de Madres de Plaza de Mayo saying in La Nación (I wonder why there??, yeah, maybe why not...) that he left in 2003 because he knew that something was smelling bad and nobody heard his denuncia... I respect Zito Lema, , sad that he couldn´t had a stronger voice at that moment or more support or both... (the people´s posts below this article in La Nación gave me thrills ...)

The Noble Herrera brothers finally gave their blood samples today...
