Hyacinths, daffodils, & pansies add to the mix, with a dash of violets. :)

Today is Maundy Thursday, the date of the Lord's "Last Supper" for many Christians.
In the Orthodox Church, it's on a slightly differing day--Easter sometimes coincides... :)
This year, Easter coincides with all branches of the Christian church. 8)

May the Lord bless you & keep you, & may his countenance shine down upon you,
& give you peace. Pray for peace in the Ukraine. 8) I wish Catholics & Orthodox will
refrain from fighting each other because of language or customs. :) I pray that
Russia & the Ukraine will respect each others complaints & borders... 8)

Yes, Lost Wire, I am dismayed by crashing of "Action Poetry". :(
I've been posting there for ten years...count 'em...

I'm pleased to still being able to post here at Studio Eight.
I've been having some hard drive
problems lately...Hope your Easter is a good one. :) 8)

We went to a sunrise service for the
first time in many years. It was held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The Salvation
Army put it on...Their local band was awesome & so was the guest speaker.
There were also some dancers there who pantomimed one of the hymns. A unusual service & very much appreciated. We even met some friends there, which suprised us. :o :)

Remember EARTH DAY today. :) Keep in mind that war is unhealthy for the environment,
for clean air, & clean water & life itself. War is the worst environmental crime against
creation. :(

Talking into the wind.

A good day at work. I hid out on a dirt road in the woods with two plumbers for the last hour and a half before quitting time. After over 20 years, I don't feel all that dedicated these days.

The most bizarre department of this state's government. At first it seemed a bit like Caligula's court followed by two ex-military, militaristic facility hetmen. Now one, I'll call Hadrian, a visionary(especially during those special moments in front of a shatter-proof mirror) has taken us all, including low-caste laborers such as the plumbers and I into a delusional golden age here at

'Shady Pines'

So while the emperor, his inner circle along with courtiers and office manager courtesans enjoy two hour catered luncheon, or the last half of day at some upscale fern and brass watering hole, there are some who have scant qualms about our long elated breaks beneath towering oaks, poplars, beeches and pines.

Now, making it to retirement seems to be the driving force that obscures mission.

A little place northwest of Big Stone Gap, or maybe in the upper Jackson River Valley, so isolated, I can drink either coffee or liquor on the porch as naked as a baby jaybird. Live my last day in a good way as I sure the fuck don't want to depart from this lower elevation. Trout fishing, hunting, growing things and smoking myself into numerous states of silliness on a daily basis. Up there having no care of any goings on down below.

My chat, or old chatter.

Atehequa, The goings on at "Shady Pines" seem mighty interesting. I don't guess you
are able to "hide out" too often. It seems that you have toughed it out for twenty years.
I am very respectful toward anyone who can tough out a job for twenty years. :)

Corruption sometimes erupts its ugly head even in the best of places. :(
We try to live "under the radar" & ignore it as much as we can.
We report things to superiors, if we have to...
We try to stay out of the "line of fire". Office & yard gossip can be brutal at times. :(
Thanks for the chatter. We may all use it to let off steam.

Not so much letting off steam. More like smoke rings from pipe dreams.

Obama? Yeah. I wondering who the next white house actor is going to be.

Atehequa, may your "downtime" be complete with "happy smoke".
Still Trucking, et al, I think with Obama we have the "genuine article" & not
much hollywood acting. I am not happy with the budget Obama submitted.

Don't think we can say that about Reagan. He was a
"grade B actor" & a "grade D president". However, he was willing
to compromise better than Dubya. Moreover, much more than
a couple of paragraphs about this stuff belongs in my Column.
I have plenty of topics to choose from. See link: http://studioeight.tv/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=78

across the sea. :) 8)

Happy Father's Day, this Sunday in the USA & elsewhere. Keep smiling.
Keep visualizing "whirled peas". Lighten up & be enlightened... 8) :)
People, where you at?! Did you get lost in the internet? Time to come home
like the sailor home from the sea... :!:

Tonight, my daughter & I are going to "Riverbend Festival" here in downtown Chattanooga, TN.
We're going to see "Boston" & "the Family Stone", et al. :D

the fifth time this Sunday. Hoo Rah! 8) :) Any other Spurs fans out there?

Apparently, not any Spurs fans who care to share... Remember, at any given time,
the wild gift of victory will bless a basketball team, no matter what their ages are. :!:

Also, show your love, 'cause, at any given time, random kindness saves the day.
Pass on the prayer for peace in our time. 8)

Dear Steve Plonk,

Congrats to your Spurs on a great victory. After learning you are a Spurs fan, I don't think we can be friends.
