Announcement: Sorry I haven't been able to post in quite some time.
On November 26th, I had a five hour spinal fusion operation.
I can't drive a car, nor lift more than ten pounds!

In addition, my computer is located downstairs in the den.
I have had trouble, until recently, going up and down stairs because of tremendous pain. :(
If that wasn't enough, my personal computer needs to be replaced and freezes up on me. Moreover, when upstairs, I have been busy sending off some fictionalized memoirs, and poetry compilations by snail mail. I have to get online help downstairs from time to time. I got some stitches out and am making progress. :)

I hope you other members and readers will understand that I will be back regularly posting as soon as possible. I am
in the process of borrowing a portable laptop to facilitate quicker communication.
Thanks in advance for your understanding
and I hope you have a happy and healthy new year. :D
ALSO, SEE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IN MY COLUMN: LIFE IN THE HORSE LANE. tHANKS. :)

I've been getting better. I started driving again in the second week of April. Went through a stint of physical therapy and am now able to use my computer more often. I hope all of you have had a nice summer. This is my seventieth summer.
I continue to hope to get a new computer as soon as possible--one that will not act up. Thanks, readers, for your patience
during this year--which has been a difficult one for me.

Sacred to the memory of Robert Hunter, 78, the lyricist for the Grateful Dead, who died on September 24, 2019. :(

Also, sacred to the memory of Elijah E. Cummings, 68, Baltimore Congressman & civil rights leader,
who died on October 17, 2019. :(

Thanks, Raymond, of Cenacle, for reading, and your appreciation of my thread. Sorry for not answering back sooner. (I have
been having occasional trouble with my computer. I think it is working today.) I hope you and yours are staying safe.

Moreover, having read the book about the flu pandemic of 1918, having been through the flu epidemic of 1967-68, and the "Swine flu" epidemic of 2009: I am worried about this current "covid-19" or coronavirus pandemic.

I am seventy years young and have never seen anything like the "lockdown" we are now experiencing. I have a degree in public health and am quite aware of what people must be going through trying to track this thing. Hopefully, and prayerfully this virus will be toned down and get less dangerous as the months go by. Otherwise, I guess we are in the "new normal".

BLACK LIVES MATTER! So do local businesses. For heavens sake, stop the violence and the vandalism!
We have a pandemic going on everywhere. We need to be mindful of others. May peace and justice prevail!
Let's all be careful of one another and stay safe! Easy does it!

Sacred to the memory of Congressman John Lewis, Democrat of Georgia. He died on Friday, July 17th at eighty years young.
Congressman Lewis is already sorely missed!

I continue to hope and pray that Biden/Hunter win the election this year. My family's votes and contributions reflect that prayer.
