just so fucking thrown off by the fact that we have a: http://www.gothiccouncilofchicago.com/ I knew of the Annual Goth fest (North America's largest, held in Villa Park, IL), but Christ, who'd have thunk those silliy little boys and girls in dark kittenish makeup would have a whole council all to themselves.

Gothic movements are everywhere.
I find gothic people interesting.
Or at least those who aren't having a teenage crisis.

Goths... they are sometimes a plague, and sometimes amusing, but I can't say I've ever been to patial to any of them. Save for maybe one... this guy:

Here's how I see things.
Most people, hold a secret fascination for death. Most of them canalise this in several ways, or in the worst cases become mentally unbalanced. But of course being afraid of death too, it can generate... "interesting" situations lol
I see goths as people who aren't afraid to explore this morbid fascination of the dark, the side of themselves that society is constantly denying. I would hold admiration and respect for such a person, because it takes a lot of guts and honesty to turn around and face one's dark side.
There's also the fashion movement, those who create a fake personality for whatever reason, etc. But I don't really pay attention to that, it doesn't shock me more than all the other things you can see in the beautiful world of plastic. Just like any other movement there's the real thing, and a countless number of imitations.

I don't know the guy, he has a sexy gaze. Artist? Boyfriend? Ex-boyfriend? Are those authentic crow feathers?

potential shag-partner that I've known for about 2 years who is a Scottish goth that I adore. His gaze is quite sexy... as is his ass, but I'm not sharing that picture! *wink*
