It must have been moved out of the directory. I'll try to find it and reupload it. I'll let you know by commenting on this post if I can find it.

I was introduced to this tune while Clay and Christye lived on Richard Street in Dallas, TX. It was sandwiched in with some others - I remember Christye's "Solitary Harry" being one in the group we were considering playing on a KERA television show. I never made the show (I hurt my back) but I remember pounding out the arrangement and finding better guitar voicing on Garbo while I was there. Christye was singing with Clay then.

I remember falling head-over-heels for Christye that day. Never got over that!

This cut was recorded at Goodnight Studios in Dallas, TX on an MCI 24 Track beast.

Zeke's bass drum was a suitcase (Samsonite) and I was playing a Martin 016 NY acoustic with a Barcus Barry Hot Dot pickup.

I remember Clay and I joked about how young Hank and Wanda were while they recorded the vocals.

I would have loved to hear Christye singing with Clay. This is an excellent tune. (And properly credited. *smile*) ... plus, you've got awesome taste in women. ;) It was wonderful seeing Christye yesterday.

And now I'm the temporary keeper of some history .... I have a large stack of photos and newspaper articles about Clay to scan for a new tribute website (but you already know that... just posting it here so others will know). He was quite the guy, huh? Rave newspaper reviews and everything.

I'm so glad he had you for a friend and collaborator all of his adult life.
