*applause*

she's got a great voice! funny lyrics!

tell me more about the collaboration... was it collaborative lyrics? who's playing piano? Barry or you? other instruments by who? Just curious.

Did you collaborate this online? (just guessing that's the case)

What type of recording situation do you have set up now? A mic in the back of the mac w/audacity & protools? or?

Do I ask too many questions? hah!

Kudos to you both and to Leah!

I wrote this as a poem
then I thought it might make a good lyric for the musical that Barry and I were kicking around. I wrote the poem in about two hours and sent it to Barry. He read it and took a bike ride and heard the music. When he got done writing it, it had been about two hours. So, I got a recording of the tune back in response to the poem, in about six hours from when I started writing it. It was a quick one. So, in answer to your question, I wrote the words and Barry wrote the music.

It sat around for the past year and finally Barry decided that Leah's voice would be good for it and they went into the studio in Burbank last week. This probably won't be the final mix.

Barry plays keys and Leah on violin and vocals.

Any further questions, you can refer to my attorneys...

Aha! Thanks for the info. This is one of several times I've heard Barry has come up with tunes while riding his bike. Physical activity helps create creative energy. One of my firm beliefs.

Thanks for the info! I *thought* it sounded studio recorded. Very nice!

Oh, and about your attorneys.... I've been meaning to speak with them. Could you send me their ph #? :P

Seriously, though, a fine collaboration. Leah has sang and played violin on quite a few for Barry. She's very talented.

You all are. :) The lyrics are were very funny.
