Learning Curve

I'm feeling arch tonight
no uptight sleight of hand
mocking Roman arches

I've talked to Noah about the flood
but his arc was tight for forty days and forty nights
and Satan was an arc-angel before he tumbled to hell

Moses sailed from the rushes in a tiny arc
and then cracked the clay before
setting the veils on the arc of the covenant.

Then Joan of Arc talked to god
and arched her back as she burned
for the privilege of talking with god.

It might be archaic if my lines fall into pentameter
but even an anarchist rhymes from time to time
now let me dream the arc of your lips around my cock.
