“Sixtieth Summer Penny Haiku” (Page 1)

Early in the morning
Before the sun was dawning
Woke up yawning...

Late at night
Moon was shining
Silver light through curtains...

At Riverside, saw ducks
Gliding in the reeds
Mist rising slowly...

Wisps of clouds float
In the cobalt blue sky,
My eyes sparkle...

We lived so far out
In the boondocks
That the june bugs
Couldn’t find us
In the summertime...

Back in Dunkin’ Donuts
Got ice coffee
Good place to savor taste &
The muse suddenly hits...

World keeps spinning
I use that bar for chinning
Fun & exercise are blending...
