2014 just a hundred years from the war to end all peace
in retrospect 1913
was a very good year

what good news in store for 2014
lets make a wilderness and call it peace

there is no news anymore
just tweets heard round the world

speaking from distant parts
it's not the noise
it's not the hum
it's not the drama
it's not the clouds
it's was
is
& will be
the flavor
the only thing that counts
let's c'mon
c'mon
C'mon !!!!!!!

When we look back, let's not lack
the curiosity to examine the evidence.
Live has gone on from then and hence
to keep track of it is often not simple.
I recommend documentation
(of course, please avoid photos
of the pimples) but photos are always nice
and twice as fulfilling are the journal notes.
Remember, that your memory is your memory
(no matter what you wrote)
because perception is interjection
into a load of other sensory input.
So, even if you put a foot
in your mouth,
it's better to speak your mind
than to be completely silent,
though if speaking your mind
encourages violence,
I would shut up, if it were me.

Want to hear me sing the blues?
Here's the good news: I'll spare ya.

Life is up...down....sideways
Flavors ....oh we got em
Jam sticky
Jam nice
Jam future
Jam now always
Jam free
That what it be
Jam perpetual
Jam love for self
It's all we got
Born into these here bones
Of what use jam
It's all the use
A license to fly
That's what I did
Started flyin
Got to the edge
To the fringe
To the cusp of the
Razors flip
Hands too numb to feel
The grip
Jam blue
Jam indigo
Jam purple
Jam red
Jam yellow
Just set yourself free
Happy 2014
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

jelly is jelly and jam is jam
smucker it up like a family man
the lingenberry is in season
the swallows are flying somewhere
every fool has a reason
i'll rhyme somewhere with somewhere
cause that's the way we do it in the old by and by!

By rhyme or reason

And so it's 9pm and I'm walking
the straight line on a tightrope
between now and then,
keeping my eye out for a parachute
or at least a ladder, or maybe trampoline
as if it would matter

3 hours 'til midnight when it will be next year but how can it be next when it's already here 'cause today's the only fricking day we have so hurry up, get up, don't get fed up nohow 'cause it's 9pm, now it's 9:13, don't mean to be nasty or mean to be mean but i'm telling' ya brother and sister, it's true, that time is fricking slipping' away from you so do it quick and do it certain, pay attention, crissake, and don't be a burden to time's honor guard which holds you in place and remember to smile when you look in your face in the mirror behind you, the mirror ahead, and oh my sibling, we're not yet now dead and it's 9:16 if you know what I mean so midnight is coming on the train in the steam of the end of the day at the back of the track so please keep your eyes forward and never look back….

Nine forty one
Been up since 3:50 am
Wind whooped day cold
No escape
Just endure
Reality of winter
Summer the other extreme
But we got that million dollar view
Up and down the Potomac
11 floors up I see Jefferson memorial
in midday light
At lunch a speck of a jet way up there in the
Baby blue, clouds like smoky mist stirred
Incredible, key bridge like u could
Touch it from where I'm perched
Jets coming n going from national airport
Rosslyn like an emerald city
The river dominating the bottom
We got jam
We got blues
We got a new year and an eternal now!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

2014 slides into place
no fuss, no trepidation
smack on cue
and here i am
safely placed
in tomorrow
no joke
no trace of yesterday
no going back
future calm
a painted rainbow
sequin starshine
this early wednesday morn
