ciao baby

Post by constantine » March 19th, 2009, 9:08 pm

people have failed to realize
just how cool i really am
they haven't caught up
they're stuck in some
evolutionary stumbling block
an ideological cul de sac
like the aztecs or mormons
they'd sooner rip out my heart
with some cheap obsidian
or baptize me in the great salt lake
then ride on the tectonic cool plate
the gondawandaland express
south street baby, hurry on down
you don't have to be hip
just have a little faith
is that too much to ask
well, is it?
yeah i thought so
who needs you anyway
ciao baby
see what i mean faceless reader
they don't know what's good for them
they don't fucking know nothing

this is a well put together poem with some interesting word twists, dino

one thing I must say though

just from experience, I've never found much success with the technique of insulting your audience. It's never brought me the results that I desire. Those desired results of course are being recognized as a god of poetry.....haha

that reminds me of a twilight zone episode. if everyone was cool then no one would be cool - which could be cool though i have my doubts.
