Every morning the Trids got up, ate breakfast, and marched over the bridge to Tridville to work.
One morning, a troll moved in under the bridge. When the Trids tried to cross the bridge, the troll climbed up and kicked the Trids all the way back to their homes.
The Trids decided to take the day off in hopes that the troll would go away, but the next morning the troll once again climbed up onto the bridge and kicked them back to their homes. In desperation, the Trids decided to ask the Rabbi for help.
So the next morning the Rabbi walked across the bridge several times but never saw the troll. He went home believing the troll had indeed moved on. When the Trids tried to cross the bridge afterward, the troll climbed up again and kicked the Trids back home. The Rabbi returned to the bridge and called out for the troll.
When the troll appeared, the Rabbi asked why he was allowed to cross the bridge but not the Trids. The troll replied, "Silly Rabbi, kicks are for Trids."

no. there used to be a black guy on cream of wheat - no name as i recall. where's truckin; he would remember - he remembers everything! those gypsy jokers get around. you guys are both in texas - did you ever meet one another. i don't trust the quaker. looks too benign - people are usually the opposite of how they appear - at least in my experience. it's like when someone says would i lie to you. from that point on, i begin to be wary. but, in the end analysis, the quaker is a two-dimensional representation of a quaker, and because of that i trust him even less. "nothing is better for thee than me ." yeah right. when in doubt, trust the cap'n. at least he has a rank - he must've accomplished something, and surely has earned the respect of his crew and his superiors to get where he is today. sorry, but you obviously have touched a nerve.
an old joke my dad used to play on the local grocery store when he was a lad. he'd call up to ask: "Do you have Aunt Jemima in a bag?"
to which the clerk would answer: "Why yes, we do sir."
then dad would respond to get a boyish thrill:
"Really, well, you'd better let her out!!!"
is it still funny?
