zero in conduct

i've taken to writing in pencil
the friction is exhilarating
what you lose in fluidity
you gain in grit
i can feel my way through this
i can erase and reconsider
i can wobble it between my fingers
and create optical illusions
worthy of magicians and poets
and when they cry cursive
i can choose to be subversive
and lead a schoolboy's revolt

in memory of jean vigo

thanks. vigo was pretty hip. died young. his two films zero in conduct and l'atalante are high test. l'atalante, i saw recently and it is incredibly poetic and unique.

i like these writes you are doing on themes. i'm going to give it try with some of my books. maybe the surreal stuff. hope you'll post more soon? :D
