in the moonlight after the prom
or maybe go on a picnic
someplace nice
you and me
with one of those baskets
with the red checkerboard cloth
that you spread out
you know the kind i mean
like aunt bee would fix up for andy
and we could have the family over
on sunday, brother
and sister, mom and dad
they haven't aged at all
father's black mustache
mom looks so elegant tonight
where has the time gone
we must do it again sometime

I always wondered about the red checkerboard picnic thing.
And I would like to hold them all in my arms.
