in the alternate universe
the captain has a device
like a tv only different
it's like one of those security monitors
yeah! that's it
a security monitor
anyway, you turn this fucker on
and it sort of cruises the decks
you can see what's going on in engineering
you can check out bones in sick bay
you can even see the silurian yeoman
get boinked by the blue skinned ambassador
god i love when that happens!
but the best part
the part that gets me where i live
is the secret black button
that allows him to eliminate his enemies
he dials them in on the screen
and when he gets them centered
he pushes the black button
and their molecules are dispersed
in a process known as molecular dispersion
it's clean, it's final
and it hurts like a motherfucker
i'd kill for that machine
i'd use it right now
secretly (that's the best part!)
i think the power could drive me mad
but i'm willing to take that chance

I think you could handle the power and not be any madder than you are now.
I am also sure the world would be a better place if you had such a device.

what was doing Mr. Spock? (was that the spelling?) meanwhile?

spock is basically the same in both universes - it's that logic thing. he does have a beard in the alternate universe that gives him an air of machismo which is otherwise lacking. adieu!

I'm enjoying these little pop culture things.

Ever think about writing for the Onion?

Constantine, I remember that episode. Your poetic frolic was much enjoyed. You beamed me aboard.

thanks john. it was a good episode. the tantalus field was the name of the device, or at least the effect it produced - similar to molecular dispersion, perhaps related in both principle and technology. provocative.

One day, I showed one of the old episodes to a class. They simply laughed. I wonder what will be laughed at today thirty years from now.
