for your love
i have done many things
and i'm willing to do much more
i waited in the alley
i killed the nasty spider
all this i did for you
for your love
i went to the store
lugged beer that i didn't even drink
not a drop did i drink
so what do you think
all this i did for you
for your love
all that was within my power
i stayed up late till all hours
even watered your flowers
i don't even like flowers
but i did it anyway
for your love

You too, huh?

I like that flowers part. One good thing about having a woman around (and there are many) is that the plants are less likely to die.

However I think from now on there's at least a one or two beer freight charge for lugging... Ha.

thanks nazz. it's the little things like lugging beer that are the stuff of romance!

I wish I could hear it.

Does that just happen or you have to think about it?

I suppose I sound facetious.

Rhyme I can hear, rhythm I am tune deaf.

Like being color blind I guess.

I wasn't fast enough to delete this.

thanks. the rhythm was fun - it's on and it's a little off - it's quirky.

wasn't this a song by the Yardbirds back in the late 60's...?

it was a greek number by the same name that inspired me; a song by kostas roukounas whose words unfortunately i could not translate, but, regardless, the feel of the song triggered this effort. i highly recommend his music. he was from samos - my father's island - and recorded in the 30's - 50's. a true artist. his music is on last.fm

Music... the great inspiration that may possibly drive all the arts which in turn feeds the music.. the great abstraction that is both here and where? as it drifts off to leave room for the rest of the piece.

Be it Greek, the Yardbirds or of any and all nationalities, the soul of humans when transferred into the beauty of music transcends the mundane nature that we all attempt to get beyond... the Siren of mythology... Greek, yes?

Thank you, Dino... always a joy to read...
