there is a part inside me
waiting to fuck up
love, success
on the verge of the verge...
then i fuck up, i buy
the banana to slip on the peel
and i know it's coming
it's not like i don't expect
or even try to avoid it
i need to change, i really do
be more proactive
shave every morning
it makes you look younger
and sends a clear message to those
who are impressed by good toiletry
print up some business cards
i come from a long line
of successful something or others
who have left an indelible mark
on the inside of my skull
my mission, if i choose to accept it
is to channel my self-destructive tendencies
into self-serving manipulative behavior
that will get me car/woman/prestige
and better woman after i tire of the first
that is what healthy primates do
instead of eating frozen pizza
and fooling around
