naxos

Post by constantine » December 30th, 2011, 5:24 pm

life emanates from the sea
salt channels through our veins
through flats and ravines
achieving animation, and
then returning to stone

i run, in my own time i run
and the things that i've seen, all
that i have seen, runs behind me
alongside and within

gulls and cobblestones
tugboats, the sugar wharf
street urchins, out of dickens
plunder the five and ten
a vicious, feral joy

was it in constantinople
a peruvian marketplace
ten years ago, today?
yesterday is tomorrow too
these alleys, byzantine, complex

greek meanders, mariner
sails, the subterranean tunnels of love
the ancient, maudlin sorrow, joined
like a village dance, communal
arm in arm, steps in time
that graces, and borders the linen
the dowry of virgin and crone
incisions in marble flesh

I may read others for the wine, cheese, or even beer but, Dino, I read you for my bread & meat. Some days you even turn back the Mongols. This is one of those days. Fuckin' hardcore rules here ! THANKS ! 8)
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

great work doctor D.....the connections that bind us are not always so obvious, they live in the shadows like creatures of the night, ready to party at the drop of a hat.....aaah yes those subterranean tunnels of love.....
