sea-haggis

she rode the spanish main
cut-throat booty and barnacle bills
ahoy matey, avast and then some
bloody swath o'er the blue caribe
sails akimbo - belay that order!
no scullery maid was she
in tortuga, they speak of her
in lisping monotones and nervous stutter
she pocketed the town - even the butter
belay that rhyme! tonight we sail
beneath the guns of navaroni
there, in the bay of tobleroni
we'll put the mac in macaroni
and sail against the allemagne!
for haggis and glory, no quarter given
no, not even a dime this time
for we are not financially driven

Haggis--A special food to some...Noxious to others. Constantine, thanks for this
whimsical & imaginative poem. 8) Works up an appetite in me... :lol:

thank you, steve. oddly enough, i've never had it - i just write about it! i must have almost a dozen haggis poems by now.
