I didn't know if I'd last until midnight.
These days, the sight of the moon alone
is enough to put my head into a spin.
So, I thought I'd begin whenever I could begin
some time before the clock struck twelve
because hell, there are so many hours in a day
it's hard to count 'em all and so when I heard the call
for a jam, I piped right in and went first.
Damn, I'm cursed with this urge to move forward
chops or not. I seriously don't know what it is I got.
But I know I gotta go out and find the flying luminary.
It's very important for me to connect.
Moonlight keeps my blood red.

the voice that came out
sweat and lights on her brow
she was a stand up comic
the smiles busted out

hawaiian chants arose from the speakers
trying to imagine a time when i could wear a grass skirt and a bikini
when sand on my legs was a nice feeling

she had to open that VALVE
turn it on to all the way up
the fire was burning
inside
she said that there was no better place then that
when all your wires are filled with electric juices
and the body seems light as a feather

the whole night seemed somehow like magic

that island called to her
in the paintings
oh and the stories
but the city still has a light to shine
