I don't get electronica.
Well ok, I get that we're sliding
under an exponential electronic wave,
but beyond that, something's missing.
Maybe it's gradual, the assimilation,
slipping beneath the pixel waves.
"Sorry, the blues have been bought,
sold and copyrighted and resold,"
transformed into this interminable
thump thumpa thumpa thump.

mark its like the future
its there no stoppin it
its been hard for an old
beat cat like me too
but it is the future
and its something thats building speed
cant stop the night so u gotta bring
on the day, its easy, its another tool in
a bands arsenal....the dub step been around
a long time, they was doin it in jamaica way
back in the 70s....40 years later its mainstream
wah wah wah....something that as a musician u
gotta open unto....jim morrison said it would
come he saw into the future and its here
the best thing i can do is get on the bus
and still do the real instrument thing too
itll be a mix for now, but mark my words
one day itll take over, theres no stoppin the future
now back to jam....

yes, what a time to witness,
and electronics aside, there
would be no jam for electronics
to try to assimilate or duplicate
if there hadn't been a jam to begin with.

and so it starts again,
anew.

just my views
apprpriated the blues
Elvis in the 50's
took that muddy chicago sound
and the xplosion ocurred
jim prophocised it
the english boys
made BB a household name
at the bottom
they loved, the blues guys that is
loved em for it
its a wayback history
layer upon layer
it b what it b
sometimes i wonder
how can anyone create
originality
i find it with wiring
from my mind images
i see inside my mind
it took me half a life to
get there
i remember reading gauguin
wondering how he could
paint those tahitian paintings
straight from his mind
the answer is ya just gots
to be in it for the long haul
if u want it enuff itll come
with time
music and words is even harder
every aspirant has a band
thats why i jam 1st thought
finding nuggets within
the mind triain
the mind drain
the up there on the stage visions
then puttin em out there
blowin in the wind
for all to hear n see
next thing u know
somebodies cominup to you
thanking u for a piece u read
or that some vision u had
related affected them in
this or that way
its a rush
what more could an artist or
performer ask for
fancy cars and swimming pools
fade away but peoples feelings
endure forever 8)
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
