I only write fiction.
Still working on my diction
for spoken word.
Sounds absurd, I know.
But since it's all a show,
I just go on doin' it.
If they throw fruit? I duck.
If they applaud?
Well, fuck, I bow!
None of it makes sense
somehow but it doesn't matter
'cause it's me. What you see
is what you see. Accept me
or not. Maybe after the reincarnation,
I'll get another shot. Maybe not.

Loving kindness, the lesson of spring:
let it bring you to your knees in honor
and respect. New birth comes again yet
again and again, cycles revisited,
abolition of sin. We are not imperfect,
we are human. Nothing to be ashamed about.
Those who teach, preach, beseech, entreat,
attempt to convince, coerce.... or worse...doubt!
They are those who cannot comprehend river
streams, dreams awakening, the taking of air into lungs,
exhaling breaths of honor, tongues speaking praise!
Let us glorify the days when we are awake
without faking a step-walk through as if
it were a march demanded. True love
is never reprimanded.

littered with fools caught in a cul de sac whirlwind
solar panels free icecream three little bears knawing the wire like puppies
Wiillie did it
he got the coin
he got the wind tunnel cornered like a soaring plastic bag
must have blown down from Williamson County
Green Austin don't have no plastic
but we have the wind

this is to say I have started wearing daily dresses

according to the latest study
my anal comfort statistics match
those of heterosexual males
I must keep up appearances
Hot wax painted toes the skipper
keeps the mad dash to nowhere
life is like
a feather following the whim of the wind
my fat baby just kicked my ribs
jolly roger has the pen

.
A mantra when
you're under stress:
It's a process.

Just like seasons
more or less:
It's a process.

Often slow,
but nonetheless:
It's a process.
