Showers to showers to showers again,
but who's complaining that it's raining? Me, it seems.
The only time I see the sun is in my dreams.

Cat mews beneath my window. Me-in! Me-in! Me-in!
I open the front door for him.

His dripping coat leaves a water trail
through the foyer to the kitchen.
I slip and almost fall then question my decision
to allow him in.

Where has he been?
It's been raining cats and dogs for an entire month,
at least. I wonder why, then I ask the beast,
"Did you fall out of the sky?"

I'm lost at the factory.
Oh well. Another day
another dollar and a half.

Accompanied by a rainstorm.

Woke up after the showers
Saw great sunshine among the bowers
Even my prickly pear cactus flowers
Are starting to bloom--
Roses are getting past their prime

It is the great bloom of springtime
A mile outside the city limits
In this old 'burb we call home...
My daughter's beau flew back north
Yesterday after we shared a great meal,
As our cat mews plaintively on our back porch
To be let in for her tuna juice & grub,
I finish up what is left of a tuna sub. :)

Stretch, breathe, relax.
Just like a cool cat
gettin' his yoga on.

8)

April left and May is almost gone.
Will there be sun before we go?
I'm exploring my possible wardrobe
so let me know.
