Distance Forgives

Post by Lightning Rod » December 4th, 2008, 10:57 pm

space and time are kind
they mitigate our memories
sharp lines turn to pastel by fond erosion
send bummers to the back
bring bright moments to the front

You were too drunk or I was.
I was too vain or you were.
it was all about us, respectively

but space and time are kind
distance forgives and recollection
is flexible as mercy
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

this is another in the series of beautiful etchings, l-rod.
if i may, it's very Ray Milland - elegant, kind, irresistable.

judih, Ray Milland? Never thought of it that way
wasn't he the invisible man?
