inadvertent & reaL

Post by SmileGRL » August 8th, 2009, 7:06 pm

but she shiNes!?! even the sun spins pure gold threads in her haiR, you say, shivering & confused. just call her goLdilocks. (that's the faiRytale anyway.) but soMe days. she locks you out with her lashes. the saMe lashes that kiSsed your eyes, touched your souL your heart your ear, crawled iNside & stayed without invitation. & you search but you can't fiNd the keyhole & her barbwire tongue, sO pretty, so pink, inadvertently cuTs you in 2. too far away. you want to remeMber the kisses. but they burSt against your i. effervescent. ephemeral. eveR elusive…illusive.

truth? nobody knows the damn truth. aLL we can do is be here…BE HERE & be reaL

another thoughtful write, mj, from your open heart, like chocolates wrapped in golden foil for each to enjoy at their leisure.

Deep and fascinating thoughts my friend. Your philosophical contemplations are so meaningful and relevant.

If we found THE truth, we wouldn't understand or very much like it, no doubt. But the truth of knowing THE truth is somewhat beyond your grasp, that is a truth sooo worth finding, as you clearly have done. Kudos to you, SG. :)

Peace,
Barry

"...inadvertently cuts you in 2." Love that. The whole poem is ephemeral, like a moment passed. Or missed. Cool.

"like a moment passed. Or missed"...exactly! thanks mr. nazzy. glad you liked.

...and both barry & cecil...i often get this feeling, right after i think "this is it. this is the truth...or a victory, or at least something big." i get this bursting of the bubble moment where i suddenly feel like whatever that something big was, it's getting swallowed in a deep dark pit of nothingness...and there's a moment of dispair and desperation where i feel like i wanna dive in after it and hold on. but then i realize it all gets internalized in the end and there's always more. so what you both said..."a truth" and "somewhat beyond your grasp." yeah

ps. this poem started as a love poem in reverse and ended with the only sliver of truth i could face at that moment. i'm glad that we had this "conversation." thank you
