proprius

Post by Perdida » August 27th, 2009, 4:49 am

we could sit here watching flowers turn
we could sit here all proper
on the edge of grief
and take it
into a tomorrow
resurgent

we could call it a
rebirth
your god into my Christ

a coming together
a swallowing of sounds

perhaps
we could feel a kind of heaven
and walk with our eyes closed
barefoot
into a direction
that would be
proprius.

perhaps...

we could perceive, that today is only tomorrow's yesterday...

I awaken to a new earth each day, barefoot.

perhaps this is my kind of heaven...

we could.
or we could fly.
i like barefoot
i like
into a direction
of freedom/home/choice
and i like how you said
all of it, specially
"a swallowing of sounds"

you have such a graceful way with words, maree and sometimes i believe that you spoke these words just for me. thank you, beautiful.

sometimes I wonder how civilization got this far....each man and woman with there own ideas of what is right and wrong, with our heels dug in and our deep desires to be "understood"....perhaps we need to give up a little control to find the really good stuff that gets filtered out in our egos.....sometimes I think it's all right there staring at me, but I just can't make it out in the haze of my special needs....
your poem seems to speak of union....a melding for the common good.....I like it.....even if I'm not quite right........
If you do not change your direction

Justwalt, i'm with you on that one. Thank you for your reply.

Mj, it just all started with the flowers...and yes you can say it was written for you. :D thank you!

Saw, I guess we all have a job to do. I don't mean the 9-5 job. We can sit there and do nothing about anything, but nothing is going to get done, or there is not going to be any progress. shrugs. like i said to Mj, it all started with the flowers, we can sit there watching them turn, it aint gonna do anything.
Sometimes i just write, smiles and sometimes it gets me into trouble lol. Thank you!

Hester, that was my fav line too *smiles* Proprius, meaning "one's own" we can make it whatever it is, the path we are supposedly taking, shrugs... ours.... instead of anothers.

Maree,

Now that I've heard your voice, I can hear you reciting this in my head.

I love it!

Wonderful dreamy lyricism. So many options in life. "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans, " as Lennon put it.
