move on my child

Post by keithalanhamilton » October 15th, 2009, 9:01 pm

you’re my hostage
and even if you
escape my bondage
you have to comeback
no matter if you think
you’re free
really you’re not
because you’re dependent
on me to survive

however, you
yes you
help make me what I am
if you weren’t
I’d be different
not the same
or at the very least
as mother earth
I wouldn’t feel so whole
because I’ve
grown used too
you being humans

and yet I know
someday in the future
you’ll have to leave me
before my demise
so you can go on
free from my constraints
even if I’ve enabled you
to rely on me to live

move on my child
leave the nest
discover the universe
be all you can be
then I’ll know
as me mother earth
you’re time with me
your birthing
your learning
was well spent

Song of the heavens
becomes a cloak
wrapped round
the shoulders of
Mother Earth
to keep her warm
after her babies are gone.
(in my head when I awoke this morn)

I love this piece, dude.

Peace,
Barry
