The Streets of My Soul

There are streets in the world
I know with my feet
And streets in the world
I know only with my eyes.

I recall the steep white streets
gf the blues of Santorini,
the aged cobblestones, feathered with pigeons,
of Estanbul.
I have walked through the colorful streets
of the open-air markets of Montevideo,
and through the sleepy streets of a little town
in Jujuy.

Then, walking through those streets
I have never walked,
I met your soul coming
toward my soul.
I ran to greet you.
We kissed and embraced joyfully
and without words
decided we would walk soul in soul
all, all those streets
we have yet
to know.
