Fracture
The heart can withstand
a crease, a wrinkle, a quickening or slowing of pace.
But a fracture-
a fracture delineates a certain kind of ache
that cannot be voided.
There is no cast for a heartbreak.
The only prescription for a broken heart is
Time.
Time can heal the fracture,
but never erase the scar.
